About NEC

Dennis Wierenga is the owner and operator of Northern Edge Contracting. He lives in Edmonton with his wife Rayleen and daughter Maiva. Dennis has a background in civil engineering and has a passion for seeing projects to completion.  He grew up in rural Alberta and spent lots of time working with his Dad and brothers on the land. 

Northern Edge Contracting was established in 2018. At first NEC was a part time gig while Dennis worked as an Edmonton Fire Fighter. In 2022, he pivoted to focus solely on excavating. Dennis values honestly, clear communication and quality work.
